Executive Consultants Volunteer Board Readiness Guidance to Support BIPOC Candidates

Navigate Forward Donates Time, Talents and Profits in Q2
Women Corporate Directors cohort of board candidates 2022

Community engagement is one of our core priorities at Navigate Forward. Each quarter our team shares our time, talents and our profits with those around us. It’s a longstanding tradition started by our founders that we’re happy to continue.

Board Readiness Guidance Supports BIPOC Executives

Several of our executive consultants spent this winter and spring volunteering their expertise with the Minneapolis chapter of the Women Corporate Directors association (WCD).

In an effort to improve representation on corporate boards by BIPOC women, WCD sponsors an annual “Women of Color” cohort. Local executive search firms, serving board members and executive career consultants like Navigate Forward provide guidance and support on how to land a board seat.

Executive consultants Richard Dodson, Mary Kloehn and Patti O’Leary worked with this year’s group on Board Readiness essentials, such as creating a compelling professional narrative, a board bio and a strong LinkedIn profile. This is the second cohort to graduate the program since its launch in 2020.

“We’re thrilled to support this important effort to diversify corporate boards,” said Anne Sample, CEO of Navigate Forward.

Charitable Contributions Recognize Client Wins

We continued our “Charity of Choice” contributions, donating nearly $6,000 to 28 deserving non-profit organizations in the second quarter of 2022.

This support includes our recent networking event winner, and recognizes numerous senior leaders who landed new roles in the last three months. At the end of their engagement, each client nominates a non-profit of their choice, and Navigate Forward makes a donation in their honor.

This and other monetary support throughout the year helps us achieve our philanthropic goals as members of the Minnesota Keystone Alliance. For 2022, Navigate Forward has pledge to contribute at least 5 percent of our pre-tax earnings to non-profits.
